    Description
    Authentic Antique, Museum Quality, Mid.18th century (circa 1750.A.D.). Mughal India, Maratha - Deccan, silver inlaid steel Islamic Indo Persian Indian massive war mace (Gurz). The mace is composed of several separate elements of hand-forged steel, including a spherical iron head (hollow inside) with its surface decorated with a silver inlaid circles (worn), and set with 107 inserted faceted iron spikes of a square section around its circumference and surmounted with a large terminal spike at the top.
    A hollow tubular steel socket with an octagonal knot pierced with cagework windows under the head. The grip is divided by two globular moldings and adorned with silver inlaid damascene koftgari.
    CONDITION: Very good, complete with all spikes, showing age and usage, silver inlay is slightly worn (especially on the head).
    MEASUREMENTS:
    Overall length: 76 cm (29.92 inches).
    Height of the head, including central spike: 18 cm (7.09 inches).
    Width of the head including spikes: 14 cm (5.51 inches)
    WEIGHT: 1.303 kg = 2.87 pounds
