Powering the unit via ethernet cable POE is preferable because it eliminates the need for bulky AC/DC power adapter brick. If you cannot configure the unit with POE, these adapters are widely available online. I also have a separate listing that does include a power adapter with each unit.

The 8831 supports Cisco on-premises, hosted, and pre-approved third-party Unified Communications as a Service (UCaaS) platforms.
The phone comes standard with a wired control panel and dial pad that extends from the base station. This adds convenience and flexibility for multi-chairperson meetings.
