Mechanical refrigerator 4deg C, Freezer -22deg C, Portable, VaxiCool VXC2
This is a mechanical refrigerator/freezer made by Energy Storage Technologies, model VaxiCool VXC2 (currently known as Acutemp AX27L). This has been tested in freezer mode and worked well. The alarm sounds until it reaches the set point of -22 deg C. It maintains that set point, varying between -22.2 and -22.6 deg C. This is in good overall used condition with some minor cosmetic stains on the out side. Inside the chamber is clean. The foam seal in the lid has some damage due to age but is easily replaced. Using internal batteries only the unit can be operated as a freezer for up to 12 hours at ambient temperatures of 30°C (86°F).The two batteries installed may need replacement as well. We do not have the key for the freezer/refrigerator switch
