Vintage Amethyst - High Button Shoe or Bouquet Holder
Amethyst High Button Shoe. (Not a repro)  The patent for this shoe was issued to Herman Tappan of New York City on December 14, 1886. He called the shoe a Bouquet Holder and on the fiddle-shaped base it reads "Bouquet Holder on the side. It has thirteen buttons on the right side with a cane pattern that covers most of it except for a stippled portion of the foot. Good condition, small chip on base (see photo 5). Has been in my collection for over 20 years. Shipping 1lb
