VTG RUSSEL WRIGHT~ AMER. MODERN SERVING BOWL~ CHARTREUSE~ VERY GOOD CONDITION!!!

Description

I inherited these dishes from my mom and I am dividing them up for sale. These were her "GOOD" dishes and only came out for holidays when we had company. As a result they have had VERY LITTLE USE and are in great condition with no utensil marks, crazing or chips. My mother also never had a dishwasher (other than me) so they are the same color as they were when they were produced and the sheen on them is lovely.
This piece is a serving dish and it is approximately 10 1/16" Long X 7" WIDE X 2 3/8" HIGH. It is Chartreuse Green and in WONDERFUL CONDITION. I absolutely LOVE the shape of this bowl--it is very sculptural and pleasing to the eye and looks so Mid Century Modern which it is.
The Makers Mark on the bottom says "Russel Wright MFG BY Steubenville" and it is my understanding that they were made between 1939 and 1959.
Because of the glazing process used at the time, there may be some skips in the glaze or variations/mottling to the glaze color. There may also be some "dots" on the bottom side which are from where the piece sat in the kiln for firing--you'll see 3 on this piece and these are normal. All of these just speak to the handmade nature of these dishes.
In the spirit of full disclosure, this piece has one small 1/14" X 1/32" brown line in the glazing on the inner bowl (very hard to see unless it is pointed out as it is so small). It looks like a small fleck might have gotten into the glaze when it was fired but it not raised so you will not be able to feel it and can barely see it. I have taken a picture of it (see last picture) so you can see what I mean. It is on the inside so once filled with food you would never see it.  I am very picky and it does not bother me at all. Other than that, it is in exceptional VINTAGE condition with no crazing, cracking, chips or utensil marks on the piece whatsoever. As I mentioned, these got little use. I just wanted to point out the mark so you were aware of it prior to purchase.
We're downsizing and unfortunately I already have too many dishes so these are being sold. You can check my other listing for more offerings as my  mother had these in both this colorway and also the chartreuse color and had lots of serving pieces as well.
